		<description>Great article and very interesting website.  I think books have been written (which I have yet to read) or should be written about Ford&#039;s music.  He uses music as a talisman, almost, of community and memory -- think The Quiet Man and My Darling Clementine.  The Searchers is another example of this.  Good work.</description>

		<description>I was excited to see such a thorough explanation of the film&#039;s music. I am researching many revisionist westerns of the time and their scores, and I have yet to come across an article as informative as this one. It is a fascinating period, and I was astounded to find behind these scores the names of so many musical prodigies.</description>

These musical cues tell a story that deepens the one of the screen. Without the Steiner score, the movie would not have been the classic that it is. In my mind Ford&#039;s and Wayne&#039;s best.</description>
